Lead-In Fighter Trainer (LIFT) 2 sqns with 19 Advanced Wpns/Tactics Trg ac:

19 CT-155 Hawk (BAE Systems Hawk Mk.11);

 

Training 2 sqns with 25 Trg ac:

25 CT-156 Harvard II (Raytheon T-6A-1 Texan II);

 

FACILITIES

  Trg 1 pilot trg school in Moose Jaw with CT- 155 Hawk, CT-156 Harvard II; 1 pilot trg school in Cold Lake with CT-155 Hawk

2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School (The Big 2):

419 squadron: 9 CT-155 Hawk

15 Wing Moose Jaw: 25 CT-156 Harvard II        

2 CFFTS operates under the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC): 10 CT-155 Hawk

 

SAR Training school in Comox with 18 SAR/ Trg ac (NATO Flt Trg Canada)

18 Leased and contractor aircrafts (see also Contracted Flying Services – Southport)

 

Retired aircraft: 29 Canadair CT-133 (Canadair CL-30/T-33 Silver Star)

Leased and contractor aircrafts: The Canadian Forces have leased aircraft from vendors to help transport troops and equipment from Canada and other locations in the past decade. Transport aircraft have been leased as required. Leased and contractor helicopter: Support and Rotary Flying Training helicopter.

 


CONTRACTED FLYING SERVICES – SOUTHPORT

Electronic Warfare and Training 1 sqn with 14 EW/Trg ac:

12 Dornier Alpha Jet A (Twelve civil aircraft are operated by Discovery Air Defence Services for CATS (Contracted Airborne Training Services) and are based at CFB Bagotville; ex-Luftwaffe trainers.

Multi-Engine Utility Flight 2 Utl ac:

2 CT-145 Beechcraft B200 Super King Air (Two aircraft leased from Aero Support Canada Inc.. Used by the Multi-Engine Utility Flight (MEUF) out of CFB Trenton. Flown by RCAF pilots, they are used for light transport of personnel and equipment within North America.)

 

SAR Training school in Comox with 18 SAR/ Trg ac (NATO Flt Trg Canada)

7 King Air C90B (Raytheon King Air C90B);

11 Grob G120A;

 

 

HELICOPTER No Combat capable. Total 19 Helicopters.

3 CH-178 (Mil Mi-8MT/Mi-17/Hip-H; Medium lift transport helicopters leased from SkyLink Aviation for use in Afghanistan 2009)
