DynCorp selected for T-6 aircraft support Centers

DynCorp selected for T-6 aircraft support Centers

DynCorp International has been selected by the U.S. Air Force to supply support services for the military's T-6 and T-6B trainer aircraft.

The firm-fixed-price award features a one-year performance base period and four one-year options. If all options are exercised, the total contract value would be more than $432 million.

DynCorp, said that, under the contract, it will open, operate and manage Contractor Operated and Maintained Base Supply facilities, which will provide spare parts and equipment necessary for the aircraft.

The contract will see DI establish, operate and manage Contractor Operated and Maintained Base Supply (COMBS) facilities at Columbus Air Force Base (AFB), Laughlin AFB, Randolph AFB, Sheppard AFB, Vance AFB, Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola, NAS Whiting Field, NAS Patuxent River, and NAS Corpus Christi. Each COMBS facility will provide spare parts and equipment necessary to support T-6A and T-6B aircraft, the company said.
