Bell Helicopter has announced that it will enter final negotiations with the Turkish National Police for the sale of 15 Bell 429s with an option for five additional aircraft.

Bell Helicopter made the announcement in a 5 January 2012 company statement.

The Bell 429 is an advanced light twin-engine helicopter. It has conducted extensive flight demonstrations and has been certified in more than 40 countries.

It is available in a range of configuration options including VIP, air-medical, law enforcement, utility and oil & gas.

The Bell 429

The Bell 429 delivers 155kt speed with a state-of-the-art cockpit featuring single pilot IFR and WAAS precision approach capabilities. Its cabin is exceptionally spacious with seating for up to eight passengers and can be reconfigured for any number of different missions.

The 429 also features extra-large 61in side doors opening to a 130f³ cabin compartment, or 204f³ when including the aft cabin area.
