As of 2026, the ROKAF is undergoing a significant transformation under the Defense Innovation 4.0 program. The ROKAF is transitioning to a "Kill Web" concept, integrating advanced ISR assets like the RQ-4B and the newly contracted Global 6500 AEW&C platforms to provide real-time targeting for its high-readiness strike fleet. This posture is designed to achieve absolute air superiority and provide a robust response to the evolving ballistic missile threats on the Korean peninsula.
