Strategic Note: By early 2026, the French Air and Space Force has solidified its transition to an "All-Rafale" and "All-Phénix" (A330 MRTT) model for its primary combat and mobility axes. The Air Mobility Brigade has significantly increased its strategic reach with the growing A400M and MRTT fleets, allowing France to maintain independent power projection in the Sahel and Indo-Pacific regions. Simultaneously, the Air Training Command has completed the modernization of its training curriculum around the PC-21 and the newly inducted PC-7 MKX, ensuring a technologically advanced pipeline for fifth-generation pilots. Ground-based air defense continues to evolve with the planned induction of SAMP/T NG batteries to address hypersonic and sophisticated ballistic threats.
