It is important to note that the Indonesian Marine Corps (Korps Marinir - KORMAR) does not maintain its own independent "Marines Aviation" branch. Instead, all organic aviation support for Marine amphibious operations, tactical insertion, and search and rescue is provided by the Indonesian Naval Aviation (Pusnerbal).

Note: By 2026, aviation support for the Indonesian Marines remains centered on the AS565 Panther for shipborne tasks and the H225M Caracal for land-sea tactical maneuvers. The Marines continue to rely on the Navy's fleet of Makassar-class LPDs and the Semarang-class hospital ship, which provide the primary mobile platforms for these rotary-wing assets during expeditionary operations. Under the "Minimum Essential Force" modernization guidelines, KORMAR has focused on upgrading its legacy BTR-50 and PT-76 units while integrating more advanced BMP-3F and AAV-7 platforms.
