Note: By 2026, the Indonesian Naval Aviation (Pusnerbal) remains a specialized force dedicated to Maritime Domain Awareness and shipborne Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW). Following the "Minimum Essential Force" guidelines, the service has successfully integrated the AS565 Panther as its primary embarked combat platform. Ongoing modernization emphasizes the use of CN235 MPA assets for long-range surveillance of Indonesia's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and the expansion of its LPD-based helicopter operations to enhance regional expeditionary capacity.
